Perform precision heat tuneup on American standard high-efficiency gas, furnace and carrier heat pump system. 401 air filter in main house system is OK. Replace 16 x 25 x 1“ air filter in crawlspace unit. Clean flame sensor check gas pressure perform combustion test. Serviced humidifier with number 35 humidifier pad. Found crawlspace blower motor bearings making some noise. Motor is wearing provided estimate to replace 230 V blower motor but highly recommend replacement of heat pump system. System is still working at this time. Main house gas furnace is working fine at Time of service . Homeowner would like flush done on tankless water heater at next visit.
Upon arrival, found hot water heater pilot not lit due to install yesterday and the hot water heater right next to the furnace. Lit the hot water heater and tested operation. Hot water heater is running to manufacture specifications.
Removed old gas furnace and A/C outdoor, installed new gas furnace and A/C outdoor, flushed lineset, re used existing thermostat, installed new aprilaire filter rack, new 10x24 return and new supply. Adapted to existing 2” PVC for venting, re used drain pan and installed new condensate pump with ez trap and wet switch, adapted to existing fuel line, added motor surge protector. Removed old pad and installed new 36x36x3 concrete pad with a stone base, installed disconnect with surge protector, connected high and low volt wiring, cleaned work area and tested out.
Arrived at call and found inducer motor completely seized and you can smell the motor has burned out, customer has been in contact with comfort consultant already and follow up visit has been scheduled with office for return visit.

Upon arrival for maintenance on gas furnace I changed air filter. I cleaned the flame sensor. I inspected heat exchanger and burners. I checked blower motor and assembly. I checked the resistance of igniter. Checked all wiring and control board. I checked inducer operation and ensured hose port was clear. I checked gas pressures. Checked air temperature rise. Performed combustion test. Unit is in normal operation at this time.

Performed combustion test. Unit is in normal operation at this time. **inducer motor is noisy and collector box is the clear style that was recalled but it is passed warranty deadline. Burners are in bad shape and exterior of heat exchanger is starting to rust. Inducer is also pulling high amps. To replace inducer and burners would be around $1200. Inducer is modulating with pressure transducer. Customer would like pricing on new furnace.

Weatherized 3 exterior doors. Air sealed attic space, installed rafter vents and insulated attic space to R-65 w/ storage space blocked off. Ductwork sealed in utility room. Basement rim joist and sill plate air sealed and refilled with existing insulation. Garage space dense packed and holes rough patched. Appliance draft testing performed on DHW and gas furnace.
