Performed tune up on trane heat pump, ran unit in heating mode, checked indoor unit and heat strips as well as indoor blower motor and electrical connections. Went to outdoor unit and tested all electrical and mechanical components, tested refrigerant levels, inverter, and compressor and outdoor fan motor. Checked level of outdoor unit and electrical connections as well. No issues with unit at this time.
Performed Tune up on gas furnace, checked unit I. Heating mode and tested combustion and gas pressures. Tested and cleaned flame sensor and igniter. Tested inducer and blower motor, changed filter and checked temperature split. No issues with unit at this time.
Replaced dual pressure switch and verified operations. Correct inducer draft and switch contacts are making. Completed heat tune up for 80,000 BTU natural gas furnace. Inspected burners, heat exchanger, inducer motor. Cleaned flame sensor, verified flame rectification circuit Ignitor in good condition, measured ohm value: Good Confirmed gas pressure Inspected wiring and controls. There is no surge protection. Left estimates for surge protectors for indoor and outdoor equipment Checked drains, added treatment tabs to pump. Measured temperature rise and static pressure Combustion and draft tests pass. There is water making its way back to inducer motor and therefore some rust in the cabinet. I left an estimate to add 3” PVC wye to the exhaust pipe to divert water to condensate pump. System operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for OEM pressure switch replacement today.

Equipment is Amana gas furnace and AC. 100,000 BTU 7 years old from when homes were built. Found failed pressure switch rated at .97” I used a universal pressure switch and calibrated with correct spring to match current switch for now. We will provide quote to replace OEM pressure switch. There is a chance the part is not covered under warranty. Furnace will operate with temporary switch in system for now. Checked operations. Combustion test: pass Homeowner became plan member. Paid for plan and diagnostic fee today. We will provide appropriate quote and schedule to come to replace temporary switch with OEM ASAP. Note: He was scheduled for tune up 12/6/24. System operating well at this time.
Check up on a heat pump system. Checked the air filter and replaced supplied by the customer. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages. Checked the thermostat in all heating modes, started with electric heat. Inspected the amps for the heating elements and checked the blower amps and the operation. Took electric heat temps at the return and supply. Performed a outdoor BTU output for the heat pump. Checked the outdoor unit, wire connections and the voltages. Inspected the components and tested the amps draws for the compressor and the fan motor. The heat pump is in good working order.
