Arrived to customers house nothing working blank thermostat furnace unit has power, but no power to the thermostat. After troubleshooting low-voltage found out that the condensate pump switch was getting stuck every once in a while, replaced condensate pump and also noticed that the Reme air purifier did not have to transformer. Customer had transformer attached to furnace on previous heater. We must not removed from old unit and install to new heater. Installed new transformer to power air purifier (was wired to r and c at the board). Also clean low voltage wire so is more easy to troubleshoot and read the wiring. Test operation of system ok.

Today’s visit was to look at the thermostat that is blank and perform QA. Immediately found thermostat is blank. Check the wire connections downstairs, and found one of the communication wires were a little loose going to thermastat. Turn the power off to the system checked all the wire connections and turn the power back on thermostat lit up. Checked all the settings and programmed minimum capacity 50%. Outdoor wire connections I ware tight and secure. made sure line set was sealed where they come into the basement from outside. Check to assure the unit is level. Checked level of indoor and outdoor unit. Tested condensate and drainage lines. Humidifier takeoff connection found not sealed properly and pulling off of the ductwork. Properly sealed and connected. Taped where the furnace and the coil together. Checked for gas leaks, checked operation system working properly.

Arrived for no cooling. I first started with the indoor unit and checked the blower operation. Inspected the coil and inspected the air filter. Found the filter was dirty , and replaced. I went out and checked outdoor unit. Found system has 240volts and has a call for AC but it wasn’t turning on. Found that the dual capacitor Has failed causing the outdoor fan and compressor not to run. I quoted the customer and she approved the repairs. I removed the failed capacitor and replaced with new . I turned the system back on and tested the equipment. Pressures amps and temp splits are good. Everything is working fine at this time of service.
