Set new unit on furnace feet in new drain pan. Adapted to Supply duct and installed new 14x25 return drop. Adapted to existing gas piping and checked for leaks. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit wiring all safeties in series to break 24v R call to thermostat. Ran new condensate drain from coil to new condensate pump with new Vinyl tubing running to point of indoor discharge. Installed smoke pipe. Set new unit on new pad and leveled. Hung new disconnect box on wall and sealed wired AG3000 surge protector to disconnect. Ran new line set from outdoor unit to indoor and piped in. Brazed pressure tested evacuated and charged system. Made all high and low voltage connections to unit. Performed test outnprocedures and reviewed installation with homeowner. Return in spring to adjust charge of R454b system.

Estimate

Arrived for a water leak for the 2nd floor system which the system is located on the 3rd floor. I loose the 3/8 tubing it runs threw some closets and down through the house but can’t gain access . Every time the pump goes off it leaks through the 2nd floor bathroom ceiling. My plan is to re route the tubing to an unfinished bathroom and run it into the drain trap for that bathroom sink. Problem not sure if we can get through the bathroom wall to the closet shave will need to see if it’s possible . Will need 2 lead techs . Collected for diagnostic. I didn’t collect anything for the repair will collect when the job is completed.

Arrived to the customer’s home to install a new humidistat, previous tech found the other humidistat had failed during the service tune up, it had no volts across the terminals. I inspected the water panel and turned the system back on and tested the equipment. No water leaks and made sure the pump turned on . I did recommend to the customer about adding a water safety due to the location of the humidifier, very difficult to get to . Everything is back up and running at this time of service, I set the humidifier at 35% . Collected for remaining balance.

Fully assessed no heating situation. When I arrived, found furnace on a code 4 Open limit error code. Homeowner also mentioned that the blower motor seems to be a little bit off-balance. Removed high limit and used endoscope camera. Found crack in heat exchanger at burner tubes. Entire system is from 2003. Recommended replacement of system, this is the only option that makes sense. Call our office to set up appointment to have someone come out to give a replacement estimate. Explained to office what was going on with the system. Gave customer round about replacement pricing.

Arrived to the customers home for a dripping sound in the wall. I first looked at the indoor unit. I didn’t hear a dripping sound . I took water and Ran water through the drain pan of the unit. I Let it drain out. Still no dripping sound in the wall. I found no indication of interior wall noise line set runs on the outside of the wall and down the outside wall with line hide When it rains or you get any kind of moisture on the roof, it may be dripping down onto the line hide part of the 90 . Couldn’t replicate the noise .

Generator and safety wires were backwards. Rewired and tested

Drained and removed old water heater. Installed new Rheem water heater in existing location in a new drain pan, piped in a new shut off valve on the cold water side, installed a new expansion tank, installed a new tank booster. Tested water temperature.

Fully assessed high bills situation. Found that eco bee was set to 35 degree lock out for compressor which would cause system to run in emergency heat bellow that temp. Set thermostat to lockout disabled, customer should see a change in electricity usage. Also homeowner got a new internet connection so added ecobee to the new network. Also performed quality assurance on Bosch heat pump system. Checked overall electrical connections and component's. check refrigerant pressures and temperatures at digital read out on heat pump system. Check temperature rise heat pump system is working fine at time of inspection.

Performed precision heat tuneup on air temp 11 year-old heat pump system. Replaced 18 x 20 x 1“ air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components tested emergency heat. Found some bacterial growth inside air handler provided estimate to install Apco UV air purifier. Went outside to outdoor unit and found mouse nest inside outdoor unit removed. Found 50/7.5 capacitor tested week provided estimate. Also contactor is worn. Compressor is pretty noisy on outdoor heat pump and is also off level. Would recommend considering replacement options. Heat pump system is working at time of service..

Homeowner showed me condensation line that had build up inside. Explained to him that this gets this way beacause of algae and debris. He was told by previous technician that this would be cleaned out and it was not. Cleaned out with simple green and ez trap brush. Also put pan treatment tabs in condensation pump. Re connected line and flushed out with warm water. Loop trap in 3/8” vinyl is clean for now. Ran system to make sure everything was working correctly. System is working fine at time of service. Customer renewed service plan during visit.

Reviewed project and feed back with Chip. Inspected all areas and recorded pictures. Energy bill last month was $700 , curious to see next months bill. Recommended having heat pump tune up performed to ensure all is working to standards.

Found pilot light out on water heater. Install team must have turned off the gas and forgot to re light water heater. Re light and performed quality assurance on recently installed Bosch heat pump system. Checked over wiring and settings. Digital thermostat was re used. Checked over pressures at outdoor heat pump with digital display. Checked temperature rise. Tested emergency heat. Tested condensation pump. Heat pump is working properly at quality assurance check. Sent over info for maintenance plan.

Reviewed jobsite with Nathan to go over design and expectations. Send revised proposal for adding aprilaire filters. Created material list. Schedule first week of March.

Installed new Bosch airhandler with heat pump and 15 kw heat kit. Built new return and supply. Taped/ caulked return and supply. Removed old gas line and capped off at manifold. Removed old flu pipe and capped off. Installed new 60 and 30 amp breaker and wired in high volt to airhandler. Ran new condensate line with ez trap and condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to sewer line located in basement. Reused existing thermostat and ran new low volt wire from thermostat to airhandler. Wired in low volt and safeties to airhandler. Ran new line set and connected to new equipment. Installed new heatpump outdoor on leveled pad. Installed new disconnect and wired it to outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment.

No heat, found unit running on fan only. Control module showing pressure switch issue. Check vent motor getting 120 volts. When I was moving motor connector, motor started to run. Motor has internal issue wind winding. Provided estimate to replace motor. Inspect heat exchanger. As mentioned on previous visit. Heat exchanger showing lot of corrosion on some of the bends Once rust areas become holes unit will not be safe to run, would recommend replacing heater for safety purposes. Tenant approved replacement of inducer assembly. Went to supply house to get motor, after repairs test operation ok performed combustion test ok.

Heat pump system 6 month check up. Checked the wiring connections on unit set up and inspected the coil and blower on the indoor unit. Checked the air filter . I Checked the electric heat operation. Checked my safeties and drain trap . Set the thermostat to heat mode. Went to the outdoor unit. Remove the cover and checked all components. Check voltages and amp draws. The heat system is working fine at this time of service . While I was out the outdoor unit , i checked her pressures and found good , it was in defrost mode when she saw the outdoor fan not running.

Check up on a heat pump system. Checked the air filter and replaced , supplied by the customer. Checked the wiring connections and the voltages. Checked the thermostat in all heating modes, started with electric heat. Inspected the amps for the heating elements and checked the blower amps and the operation. Took electric heat temps at the return and supply. Performed a outdoor BTU output for the heat pump. Checked the outdoor unit, wire connections and the voltages. Inspected the components and tested the amps draws for the compressor and the fan motor. The heat pump is in good working order.

Perform precision heat tuneup on 2004 themopride oil furnace. Homeowner recently replaced 501 air filter checked all electrical connections and components. Replaced RF one oil filter. Replaced .75 x 80 a nozzle. Performance smoke and combustion test. Also serviced 2016 Bradford White 75 gallon power vented water heater. Drained out 25 gallon buckets worth of water until there was no more sediment coming out. Both are working fine at time of inspection.

Returned to replaced clogged filter dryer. Installed a new filter dryer, pressure tested, vacuum system down, charged unit back up 11lbs 5 oz factory charge added additional 1lbs 7oz. Tested all operations. Pressure were 306 liquid side, 92 suction side.

PECO Air Sealing and Insulation Project * Perform blower door test and calculate target for the home. * Build a dam around hvac system and platform for walkway. * Install rafter vents at attic roofline to ensure ventilation is not negatively impacted by adding insulation. * Move insulation and air seal attic plane with single part spray foam and place insulation back into place. * Add more insulation into attic space with blown in insulation to achieve desired value. * Install Blocking in garage attic space at top of wall cavities and cavities connected to first floor ceiling. * Perform duct sealing for all accessible ductwork in attic area. * Air Seal Sill plates in basement area. * Touch up rim joists sealing. * Perform test out blower door test to validate results from air sealing.

Outdoor equipment was lockout on H5 error code which is (5 low pressure protection incidents in 100 minute period). Made demand for heating. Pressures seemed ok but I noticed that the liquid line was noticeably colder on one side. I measured temperature difference on either side of the drier. 20° after about 8 minutes run time. Called Roy from Bosch tech support and discussed. He recommends recovering whole system, weighing the recovered refrigerant. Then charging the system factory charge plus .6oz per foot beyond 15’ after replacing filter drier. Replaced 20x25x4 filter today. We will schedule this for Thursday. Discussed with Big Nate and Chris. She said she has an appointment she’ll be leaving for at 8:30AM that day but she can work around/leave back door open. if we need to be there later.
