Found the top of the T05 hard start kit to be popped off and disconnected from the posts/terminals. Performed megaohm test on compressor windings. All 3 windings fail megaohm test which means insulation of windings is very weak. Replaced failed hard start kit, reset breaker and started system. Compressor attempted to start but unitveramped and tripped breaker again. Max amp draw measured at L1 105A. Compressor has failed. I turned disconnect off. Left breaker to outdoor unit off. Do not try to start unit again. Leave power off to outdoor equipment. I have seen compressor that are failed like this creat high enough of an amp draw to cause smoldering, smoking and even cause small fires to components in the electrical circuit, Options are (1) Replace compressor. (2) Upgrade HVAC system I don’t recommend replacing compressor given the age of equipment. There are rebates available for upgraded equipment. After discussing with Brent he decided he wants system upgrade. We set up ap

I came to DiBiase on multiple recommendations for this company as still being an honest company to deal with. My previous contract was with another company and I asked DiBiase for a second opinion. They quickly assessed my situation, spent time educating me on the exact issue and informing me of my options. I felt far better equipped to make a decision after my visit from Kurt. They quoted a better price, a better timeline to do the same work. Melissa communicated consistently through the process and kept me up to date with the status of the required part. The repair was done cleanly and with professionalism. I cannot recommend the team enough based on not only my experience but my comparative experience dealing with 2 other companies in the area.

First time customer referred by a friend at work. Called DiBiase Heating and Cooling at 8am to help me get my furnace back working properly on a cold December day. They sent me emails and text messages to communicate flawlessly. The technician Dan texted me prior to arriving 2 hours earlier than expected and quickly diagnosed the problem. Dan is easy to understand and serviced our furnace at a very fair price! Definitely would use DiBiase again.

Great service
On a very hot day (90+ degrees) when our generator functioned but was not providing air conditioning during a 20-hour electrical outage, Kurt was so pleasant and personable and diagnosed and explained to us the problem was in the generator’s connection box to the air conditioner.
