Completed heat tune up for 2.5 ton heat pump with 15KW electric heat kit: Replaced Aprilaire 313 filter Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors and components; left estimate for surge protector for blower motor and 1 for outdoor equipment; 15KW heater amps 58: Good WiFi thermostat would allow for better control of electric heat usage based on outdoor temperature; left estimate Measured temperature rise and static pressure Verified defrost cycle. Checked refrigerant charge: Good System operating well at this time. Homeowner paid for plan and filter today.
Removed old air handler, return and supply duct work. Installed New air handler in existing location with a new supply plenum, auxiliary drain pan, new return box with an aprilaire filter rack and return drop. Installed new 10 kw heat kit, installed new ez trap and condensate pump and wet switch. Reused the existing thermostat. Removed old air conditioner outdoor unit. Installed new heat pump outdoor unit on a new concrete pad, re leveled the ground beneath it. Flushed the line set, brazed and pressure tested the lineset. Installed new disconnect box with a built in surge protector.
Estimate
Upon arrival for heat maintenance on heat pump tune up I checked the filter. Brent said he maintains filter and humidifier himself. Checked electrical and wiring and emergency heat kit. Checked amps on em heat kit and blower motor. Checked blower motor and assembly. Checked delta t. Inspected coils. Checked fan motor and assembly. Checked refrigerant pressures. Forced unit into defrost. Unit is in normal operation at this time.
Estimate
Performed tune up on 19 year old rheem heat pump, checked unit in emergency heat mode and tested heat strips, indoor blower,and indoor coil. Indoor coil and blower are very dirty and should be cleaned. Went to outdoor unit and checked compressor, fan, and refrigerant levels. Tested capacitor as well. System is approximately 2 pounds low on r22. R22 is no long manufactured and we no longer stock it our truck, an estimate was generated for the cleaning and customer set up a time for a consultation for a new system.
Upon arrival I shut the oil off at the tank. I changed the oil strainer and nozzle. Cleaned electrodes and repositioned them. Inspected gun chamber. Tested transformer and checked operation of primary control. Inspected heat exchanger, flue, and chimney base. Assembled unit back together. Checked expansion tank and auto fill. Inspected piping for any signs of leaks or corrosion. Turned unit on and bled air from oil line. Checked draft and performed a smoke test. Performed combustion test. System is operating but is 18 years old and showing significant signs of wear. There is a spirovent and new expansion tank in crawl space. From does not reflect that.
Completed service for Navien tankless water heater. Inspected and cleaned inlet screen. Inspected condensate trap. Added treatment tabs to condensate pump. Isolated and flushed heat exchanger with descaling solution. Then flushed with water 15 min. Inspected ignition assembly. Cleaned flame sensor with fine steel wool. Checked expansion tank. Put water heater back into operation. Combustion and draft tests: Pass System operating well at this time. When I showed up setpoint was 140° which is considered scalding. They take baths and need the volume of water. I just wanted homeowners to be aware. Homeowner paid for invoice today.
Installed in-line drain assembly on exhaust. Installed and wired EZ trap. Installed new inducer motor, under parts warranty. Walked through with homeowner. System operating well at this time.
