Replaced hot surface ignitor and rerouted ventilation
Upon arrival for heater certification I went to thermostat and turned heat on. Found 5 14.14.1 filters. Proceeded into attic. When I was up in the attic I immediately saw the secondary pan full of water. I noticed that the unit had heat tape ran but it wasn’t plugged in. I plugged in the heat tape to see if this would prevent future issues. Checked all filters. Checked burners and heat exchanger. Checked static pressure of unit. Checked electrical and all connections. Checked gas pressures, igniter, and flame sensor. Turned system on and checked air temperature rise. Performed a combustion on unit. The unit is in normal operation. The water leak just needs to be addressed. Needs gasket for between trap and collector box and grommet for horizontal direct vent applications.

Cycle unit couple times after thermostat installation ok. Heat exchanger has some severe rust parts with major potential for cracks.
