Arrive for no heat situation. We were out here 2 weeks ago for some repairs. Found unit on a rollout switch open. Reset the rollout and tested operation. Upon duration of test found a burning smell from exhaust pipe. Tried to perform a combustion test, analyzer kept going off for high CO. Removed unit to inspect heat exchanger and found a lot of debris from heat exchanger corroding that is preventing it from burning correctly and venting appropriately which is causing flames to rollback. Also upon inspection it was found that the burner compartment is getting too hot especially to the touch. At this point I will follow up with the manufacture with the heat exchanger being default. Due to age and condition, would recommend getting an estimate to replace system. Office to follow up with customer.
Turn power off to the Rooftop unit. Remove the failing Inducer Motor. Install a new OEM Inducer Motor. Complete all wiring connections. Put the unit into heating mode and perform combustion testing. 12/30/24. Removed existing inducer assembly and installed new inducer. Used high temperature caulk around inducer assembly. Also performed tune up on rooftop system. Installed (4) new 16x20x1 air filters. Installed new A39 belt. Performed combustion test. Inspected burners. Roof top gas furnace is working fine at this time. 2 year guarantee on inducer.
Customers having issues with the heat for about a week now where there’s no ignition right away. Boiler tries to fire, but it doesn’t stay lit check oil pressure coming in 140 psi inspect electro transformer and cad cell. Check igniter seems to be weak and also cad cell is all yellow. Inspect heat exchanger boiler. Will need to get clean soon inform this to customer. Provided estimate to replace those parts transformer and cad cell. Customer approved repairs. Realign electrodes and replace nozzle test transformer and entire boiler. Boiler came on with no problems, test water, pressure and temperature aquastat It’s cutting off at 180 coming back on at 165. Water pressure is 12 psi. Cycle boiler couple times ok. Provided estimate to do service plan and also replace electrodes.
Performed heating tuneup on Concorde gas furnace, unit was ran in heating mode and combustion and gas pressures were checked. Temperature split was checked, flame sensor was cleaned and checked, hot surface igniter was checked, and blower motor and inducer motor were checked. No issues with unit at this time.
Gas furnace tuneup on a 90% furnace . Checked the air filter and replaced , also serviced the humidifier and tested and set at 35% . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages . Flushed the drain lines and furnace traps and inspected the condensate pump. Inspected the burners and flame sensors and cleaned . Inspected the flue pipes for leaks and bellies. checked the thermostat in heating mode and checked the gas pressures and the furnace safeties. checked the motor amps on the inducer operation and blower motors. Took indoor heat temp rise and tested for combustion on the system. The furnace is in good working order at this time of service.
Performed tune up on Rudd gas furnace, ran system in heating mode and tested combustion and gas pressures, tested inducer and blower motor. Tested temperature split of unit and cleaned flame sensor and checked spark ignition components. No issues with system at this time.
Fully assessed no heating situation on rooftop unit. Went up to rooftop location and found nothing running. Found rollout switch tripped at burners. Examine heat exchanger, but did not see any cracks in the heat exchanger but did find that the inducer motor is very weak. Recommend replacement of inducer motor. Our office to get quote to replace inducer motor for rooftop unit. After resetting rollout heat is back on. System is working fine at time of service.

Arrived to a comfort issue. Customer had said he hears inducer coming on but no blower operation and the temperature in the house is dropping. Found the inducer will come on and will run and run and run but no igniter having a pressure switch issue. I checked the vacuum pull on the inducer was running at 1.2 pressure switch is rated for .35. Checked and cleared all my tubing for the pressure switch checked and cleared the pressure switch itself. The system igniter would light. Every time I retested switch may have been restricted did put a price in for a warranty replacement. Customer will wait to see how the system will operate.
