Ran unit in heating mode and tested combustion, gas pressures. Tested temperature split, fan motor and inducer motor. Cleaned and checked drains and condensate pump. Tested all electrical components and checked connections. Couldn’t test heat pump at this time due to the very cold weather, I contacted Joe and talked with him about it and he said to just test the gas furnace. Also needs a note on the house that small tech is required as the unit is back in a crawl space and quite difficult to get to.
Found the vent 90 wasn’t glued at all and I pulled it apart with my hands. Separated the two sections and cleaned and primed the fittings, re glued fittings and ran unit unit for over an hour making sure no other leaks were present, also addressed the issues with the magnetic filter cover by shifting filter into its proper slot. No other issues were found with system at this time.
Workscope includes 2-part spray foam on crawlspace rim joist and exterior walls at approximately 2 inches. Open areas of crawlspace underfloor insulated with r19 batt insulation.
Fully assessed job to install water softener with chlorine removal. Provided estimate to install system.. also provided estimate for whole home WiFi shut off. Sent over estimates. Homeowner to get back to us.
Performed QA on Trane Heat Pump/Air Handler install. Walked through with Don how to setup the schedule on the existing thermostat. Went through with him and programmed each day to the schedule he wanted. Left the User Manual guide with him which shows how to use the scheduling features and let him know if he has any questions to call us. He said he didn’t want to switch the thermostat with a Wifi thermostat. He also mentioned the lineset had fallen down. Had to move and adjust the lineset clamps to better secure the lineset across the ceiling. Tested the system in heat pump and emergency heat. Reviewed the fan speed settings and programming on thermostat. Completed checklist for in system. *At next visit bring strap to help secure the lineset better where it swoops around. It is secure and should not be an issue, but the straps will work better than the clamps.*

Performed QA on Trane Gas Furnace install. Reviewed programming and settings on unit. Tested in heating mode and measured gas pressure and combustion while unit was in high stage. While testing the gas fittings, found a leak at the nipple connection going to the bottom of the shut off gas valve. Had to repipe the section of gas piping because I could not get the old fittings apart. Installed new drip leg with new shut off valve. Checked all fittings to make sure there were no more leaks. Completed checklist form in system. No additional follow up needed.

Check oil flow ok. Test transformer and adjust electrodes ok. Check aqua stat setting set to 180 water pressure ok. Cycle boiler couple times. During today’s visit noticed some parts that will need to replace for safety purposes. Also adding barometric flue damper to help boiler with draft.
