Performed ac tune up check electrical low and high ok replace filter check split flushed drain, ok check outdoor unit refrigerant pressures r22 ok capacitor ok contactor is pitted, customer is aware this condition compressor is running on higher amps. Supply and return air temperatures ok. Unit is from 1999 customer will wait until breaks.

Upon arrival I replaced EEV board and found system was still having issues. Shut down system and recovered refrigerant. Removed 8 lbs. 4 oz. Purged nitrogen and unbrazed EEV and filter dryer. Braized in new EEV and filter dryer. Pressure tested system at 400 psi and checked for leaks. No leaks were present at this time. Evacuated system till I was below 500 µm. Weighed in 8 lbs. 5 oz. of new 410 a refrigerant. Cycled system in cooling and checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Refrigerant pressures and temperatures were appropriate at this time. Homeowner mentioned getting a hard start kit so I gave him an estimate to replace hard start kit and run capacitor since it was starting to get low. After homeowner approved estimate I replaced run capacitor, and installed new hard start kit. Cycled system in heat pump heating and checked refrigerant pressures and amp draw. System is operating appropriately at this time in both heating and cooling.

Fully assessed no heating situation. Found American standard heat pump locked out on code 4 at defrost board. Code occurred after 9th low pressure cut out. Found 16x25x1 air filter very dirty. Homeowner had new air filter. Replaced 16x25x1 air filter. Reset power at air handler. Checked refrigerant pressures in heating mode. They were 331/97. Also checked in cooling mode found refrigerant pressures were 156/34. Definitely a restriction in the system. Will need to get price and availability on eev board and eev head. Also possibly will need to replace entire eev which the refrigerant will need to be removed. Called our office to get a price on replacement of air handler which is about $6500.00. Will get back to customer tomorrow with repair cost.

Estimaye

Unit running but not providing any cold air. Found unit off upon arrival. Customer just replace thermostat. Found thermostat was set for traditional heat and ac. Set up thermostat to heat pump and test operation. System came on. Running on cool mode now. Cycle system ok.

Checked the AC side of the system . Checked air filter and found good . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages on high volt and low volt. Inspected the indoor coil and flushed and tested the drain line. Checked the blower condition and inspected the blower amps . Went to the outdoor unit and Checked and tested the pressures by using superheat and sub cooling methods. Checked the amps for the compressor and the fan motor and checked the indoor cooling temps at the supply and return. The AC system is working fine at this time of service.

Performed tuneup on Bryant AC, tested indoor units, blower motor, temperature split, clean and check drain and inspected evaporator coil. Went to outdoor unit and tested all electrical and mechanical components, including fan motor, compressor, capacitor, and refrigerant levels. No issues with unit at this time.

Upon arrival, shut off cold water going into boiler. Replaced quarter turn valve and installed new auto feeder. Bled air from boiler and cycled system. Insured there were no leaks. System is operating and cycling appropriately at this time.

Upon arrival perform maintenance on AC system. Changed 14 x 25 x 1 air filter. Inspected blower assembly and electrical connections. Inspected evaporator coil and drain pan. Cleared and tested drain lines and condensate pump. Cycled system in cooling. Checked static pressure and temperature differentials. Proceeded to outdoor unit. Inspected outdoor oil and condenser fan. Check refrigerant pressures and temperature. Inspected electrical components and connections. Capacitor is starting to get out of range, but isn’t at this time so may need to replace next year. Recommended installing hard start kit because compressor starting amp draw is 65 while locked rotor rating on compressor is 64. Putting this much stress on compressor could damage wiring or compressor itself. Install hard start kit. Gave estimate to homeowner to Install hard start kit. Homeowner accepted estimate so I installed kit and cycled system multiple times. Amperage is significantly lower. System is operating appropriat

Performed precision a/c tune up on Armstrong a/c and amana gas furnace. Replaced 16x20x1 air filter. Checked all electrical connections and components. Inspected evaporation coil. Tested outdoor capacitor. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperature at indoor and outdoor units. Cleaned flame sensor. Inspected burners. Checked gas pressure. Performed combustion test. Also serviced Aprilaire humidifier with #35 humidifier pad. Gas furnace is working properly at time of service.
