Remove and replace 3-4” 90s and 5’ of rusting flue pipe. Test operation of system ok
Upon arrival for no heat I went to tstat on first floor and it did 69 inside but set to 71. Claire said she set it early this morning. Went down stairs and both tstat were calling and both dampers open. Found unit off on high limit. Removed air filter and it was clogged. Was just replaced 10/29. After pulling filter high limit reset and unit turned back on. Had 128° supply temp. Put filter back in and hit 190° supply temp in 2 minutes. Replaced filter and let unit run until first floor tstat satisfied. Unit is in normal operation.
Arrived for no heat on a gas furnace. Customer was complaining that the system wasn’t keeping up. I Checked the air filter and found good. I went to turn the system on found burners struggled to come across. Customer has LP gas, which can be very corrosive and dirty to burners . I quoted the customer out for cleaning his burners. They approved the work . I dropped the burners and cleaned each individually, and cleaned the flame sensor and cleared the orifices and made sure the were clear. I put everything back together and tested the furnace operation. The customers customer signed up for new membership for 189.00 and the discount diagnostic. Everything is back up and running at this time of service.
Upon arrival for maintenance on gas furnace I changed air filter. I cleaned the flame sensor. I inspected heat exchanger and burners. I checked blower motor and assembly. I checked the resistance of igniter. Checked all wiring and control board. I checked inducer operation and ensured hose port was clear. I checked gas pressures. Checked air temperature rise. Performed combustion test. Changed water panel, cleaned and tested humidifier. Unit is in normal operation at this time. There are a few sections of the flue that need replaced. I showed these to Bryan and showed him the estimate. Wasn’t so bad to shut system down but needs done. I put high temp caulk on two spots. Checked for CO near spots. None present at this time.

Arrived to customers house nothing working blank thermostat furnace unit has power, but no power to the thermostat. After troubleshooting low-voltage found out that the condensate pump switch was getting stuck every once in a while, replaced condensate pump and also noticed that the Reme air purifier did not have to transformer. Customer had transformer attached to furnace on previous heater. We must not removed from old unit and install to new heater. Installed new transformer to power air purifier (was wired to r and c at the board). Also clean low voltage wire so is more easy to troubleshoot and read the wiring. Test operation of system ok.
Today’s visit was to look at the thermostat that is blank and perform QA. Immediately found thermostat is blank. Check the wire connections downstairs, and found one of the communication wires were a little loose going to thermastat. Turn the power off to the system checked all the wire connections and turn the power back on thermostat lit up. Checked all the settings and programmed minimum capacity 50%. Outdoor wire connections I ware tight and secure. made sure line set was sealed where they come into the basement from outside. Check to assure the unit is level. Checked level of indoor and outdoor unit. Tested condensate and drainage lines. Humidifier takeoff connection found not sealed properly and pulling off of the ductwork. Properly sealed and connected. Taped where the furnace and the coil together. Checked for gas leaks, checked operation system working properly.
