* Temporarily remove storage flooring in attic space. * Install rafter vents in attic space. * Air seal attic floor with single part foam. * Perform duct sealing on 2 systems. * Insulate attic door with 2" Polyiso board. * Blow in additional insulation in 2 attic spaces to R-49. * Install insulated pipe wrap on accessible piping in 1st floor attic. * May need to create temporary access for laundry room ceiling. * Install 9" fiberglass batting in open atic floor for 1st floor attic space. * 3 hours of window and door sealing throughout the house with silicone as needed. * Install weatherstripping and sweeps for basement front door, 1st floor front, side, and back doors. * Air seal rim joist and sill plate in basement area. * Install 6.25" fiberglass at rim joist.

PECO Air Sealing and Insulation Project * Move insulation in rim joist, air seal rim joist and sill plates, and put insulation back in cavities. * Install new supply take off on supply plenum and return grill on return drop in basement mechanical room. * Remove and inspect 2 supply ducts in basement ceiling to see if they are connected. Make additional recommendations as needed to get more air to main basement room. 2/17/25 Cut in supply take off with damper on plenum to add some heat to basement. Cut in 6”x12” Return grille on return drop. Verified airflow to the (2) registers in the finished basement. Switched dip switch 1-3 to ON for increased low speed heating airflow. (By 18%) Charged for ductwork modifications only.

Perform peco heat pump tuneup on three heat pump units first floor, second and addition. Check electrical connections and components low and high, tested back up heaters inspect indoor coils and outdoor units. Check supply return air temperatures. Refrigerant levels and pressures. Motors and compressors. All theee units are old. Garage air handler is in bad shape. There is massive bacteria growth. Contacrors for electric heat is pitted. For second floor unit found torn 6 in flex. First floor indoor coil is half way cover with dust/dirt. Provided estimate for recommendations.

Reviewed home with John and Maryanne. They are experiencing comfort issues in the basement and are looking for a solution. Recommened rim joist sealing and adding a supply and return to basement in mechanical area. There is a fireplace in main room they use for heat. Recommend air sealing and insulating the attic space as well.

Performed gas heat tune up on York 80 k Btu system: 16x25x1 Filter ok. Measured temperature split and static pressure. Checked wiring, controls, electric motors and components. Clean sensor and burners. Ch do blower motor and cap check igniter resistance. Performed combustion test inspect heat exchanger with camera. Provided estimate to replace igniter due to high resistance value. current unit is from 2010. Will recommend getting an estimate to update to new system. Office to follow up with customer sometime next week.

I write to perform heat to an up on a 70,000 BTU input Goodman furnace. Customer had no questions on heater. The only thing was humidifier leaking. I was able to see that humidifier is leaking from the feet to. There’s a crack on the top of the tube. Went over heating performance inspect igniter sensor burners, gas pressures noticed combustion results were high carbon monoxide. Inspected the burners, gas pressure, heat, exchanger, heat, exchanger fail, test and inspected heat exchanger using camera, I found holes on heat exchanger took photos and showed condition to customer. Right tech furnace, and provided estimate for repairs. Heat exchanger might be under manufacture parts only warranty or parts are non-warranty. Customer is responsible for labor and non warranty parts. From now on customer is responsible for continuing using heater under these conditions. Water heater expansion tank has failed. Removed entire heat exchanger cover and burner section, replaced main gasket, burner tubes, and igniter. Re assembled entire burner section and tested system for a duration after repair was made, no other issues found and unit was taken out of high altitude mode.

Boiler was not lighting. Set to high altitude mode at control for now. Boiler operating well after setting to high altitude. Domestimate water is the priority at control. We will be coming back to do the burner, ignitor and gaskets ASAP.

Replacement of gas valve, and pressure switch tubing. As I was Removing old gas valve. Pilot tubing broke. Tried to use universal tubing but it didn’t work. Now we have 11 inches water column coming off the valve but tubing is not making good contact with valve (leaking gas). I will need to come back on Wednesday to finish up repairs.
