Gas furnace tuneup on a 90% furnace . Checked the air filter and found good . Checked the wiring connections and the voltages . Flushed the drain lines and furnace traps and inspected the condensate pump. Inspected the burners and flame sensors and cleaned . Inspected the flue pipes for leaks and bellies. checked the thermostat in heating mode and checked the gas pressures and the furnace safeties. checked the motor amps on the inducer operation and blower motors. Took indoor heat temp rise and tested for combustion on the system. The furnace is in good working order at this time of service.
Found 60A double pole GE breaker for Air handler tripped. I noticed a few lights flickered in house before I reset tripped breaker. There was also a minor popping sound when I went to put breaker panel cover back on. I reset and tested system. The amp draw of the circuit for this breaker was 40€ which is normal. 20A on the other air handler breaker: Good After 5 minutes this breaker got hot to the touch. Need new 60A double pole breaker to replace this one. Breaker has failed. I would have an electrician do this consider the flickering lights. Discussed with Ann. She is going to contact an electrician ASAP. Left breaker off. Once breaker is replaced and panel issues are addressed we can tests system.
Reviewed information with Steve in relation to Peco report and reviewed entire home to gather information to put together home performance proppsal.
Installed new gas furnace. Installed new pan. Reused condensate pump, and ex trap. Reconfigured drain. Made new return transition to connect to existing duct. Installed 16x25x1 filter. Tested co, static pressure, gas pressures, and temp rise. Reused thermostat. Unit is operational.
Customer called in for heat pump outside completely cover with ice. Customer just purchased this home. Upon arrival found outdoor heat pump cover with ice reverse, refrigerant cycle and disable fan motor. Meantime took pictures and check troubleshooting on the indoor unit while unit was defrosting. During troubleshooting found several issues with the unit defrost thermostat was cut and not connected to defrost control. Discharge temperature was connected to defrost terminals on the board, but it was not connected to discharge piping. Explain the situation to customer and provided estimate to repair those connections not guaranteed that it’s going work. We’re not sure why previous person did that. corrected wires check indoor unit noticed that the breaker for air handler is 40 amp double pole electric heater is a 10 kw. Wire size is correct breaker should be double power 50 amp. Also notice that unit has been added die previously indoor unit is showing a little signs of leakage. Outdoo
Customer called in for mini split not working properly. Nothing blowing on arrival check system operation found indoor units, not blowing air. They’re all set to heat highest level and fan speed to be high. All four indoor heads are blowing at minimum speed. Reset unit a couple times did not change any air speed. Customer reset the unit prior arriving so there’s no error codes on the unit. Explain homeowner that this needs to be addressed with tech-support. We will need to set up a different appointment during the day to call tech-support for further troubleshooting. Email estimate for further try shooting.
Met with customer to provide options on replacing gas furnace. Presented Goodman gas furnace options.

Customer called in for outdoor fan not working, found thermostat satisfied. Increase thermostat temperature check system operation found seized outdoor fan motor. Check capacitor reading 4.9 MFD current heat pump is from 1997 uses R2 two refrigerant no longer available this time. I cannot check refrigerant levels because the fan motor is not working. Motor and blade are required once we get the unit running correctly. We will check refrigerant levels most likely it’s a little low refrigerant. Recommend getting an estimate to upgrade the unit. Home comfort consultant to come out later on today.
Customer called in for noise coming from the heater. They shut the unit off check operation point arrival found heater running notice some noise coming from the inducer assembly and also from the blower motor. Blower motor true various speed motor exhaust motor is two stage speed. Furnace is running, if noise gets worst would recommend shutting unit off. Meantime could be in operation. Would recommend getting an estimate to replace system, set up an appointment for tomorrow between 3 and 4 pm. For new gas heater

Reviewed home and looked over mechanical systems and home performance recommendations from Peco. Customer is looking to replace both have systems, install new 600m humidifiers, fix exhaust for water heater, and have home performance work completed for attic space.
Customer has a bad power venter that is not being automatically controlled so he jumped it out to rn 24/7 in order to restore heat. I gave him a price on replacement but he said he will order one and do it himself.
Customer called in for issue with the thermostat losing power couple times during the day especially in nighttime check system operation found thermostat calling for heat went downstairs and noticed condensation pump running nonstop eventually switch open up stopping the communication with the air handler and thermostat. Try to clean the pump and vinyl tubing vinyl pumping seems to be clear constant pump or not work after cleaning it. Talk to customer about this issue inform her that this is not part of the system, so Amana does not cover parts and labor warranty. Provided an estimate to replace condensate palm. Customer approved repairs also mention about air filter being super dirty and humidifier needing service. Offer to service humidifier and changing filter. Customer will do that on its own. Replacement of condensation pump supply temp 90 return air 69
Capacitor tested at 9 mfd, replaced 15 mfd capacitor. Also performed precision heat tune up on trane high efficiency gas furnace. Checked all electrical connections and components. Cleaned flame sensor. Blew out pressure switch tubing. Checked resistance of hot surface igniter. Checked temperature rise. Performed combustion test. Gas furnace is working fine at time of service. Furnace does bounce off of high limit sometimes possibly due to duct work, but is functioning at time of service.
Arrived at call for no heat, customer had lift that I used to access unit in detail bay. Found unit coded out for ignition retry lockout indicating issue with ignition. Reset unit and found it ignites fine but is not sensing flame, removed and cleaned flame sensor and tested unit and it now runs without issue.
Installed new Goodman furnace. Adapted to existing return drop and supply plenum. New EZ trap draining to floor drain. Adapted to existing gas line and 3” venting. Installed blower surge protector. Installed new Goodman AC unit. Reused existing wall bracket and flushed line set. New disconnect. Cleaned and tested out all operations, adjust refrigerant pressures as needed. Installed new tankless water heater.
Estimate
Performed gas heat tune up. Check electrical components, low and high voltage test, safeties clean flame sensor and brush burners. Perform combustion test on a modulating gas valve. Check supply return temperatures replace air filter, flush drain test condensate pump recycle unit couple times. Test reversing valve and check supply temperature from heat pump mode 90/70 unit does not have surge protection/bacteria protection. Presented estimates. Burners might have to be replaced soon. Talked to customer about this potentially upgrading to stainless steel.
Performed QA on Goodman Gas Furnace. Reviewed installation with homeowner. Tested system in heating mode. Reviewed programming on the existing Ecobee thermostat and checked programming on the Furnace control board. Adjusted blower fan speed for Cooling for a 2-1/2 ton outdoor. Tested condensate pump and tested the wet switch safety. Tested the existing humidifier and it was not operating. Had to change the programming on the thermostat and then the humidifier was receiving 24V but no water was coming through. Found the Saddle Valve is clogged. Spoke to the homeowners son in law and he said he knows a plumber and will have it replaced. Completed checklist form in system. No additional follow up needed.

Left estimate to replace heat kit under parts warranty. Replaced filter 16x20x1 Inspected wiring, controls, electric motors. Equipment has surge protection Indoor and outdoor coils in good condition Verified defrost cycle, measured compressor amps Measured temperature rise and static pressure Checked refrigerant charge; pressures 67/250 with outdoor temperature 26°F: Good System operating well at this time. Electric heat running at 2/3 capacity until it is replaced. Homeowner agreed to replace heat kit under parts warranty. I collected half today,
Completed heat tune up for 100,000 BTU propane furnace 16x24x1 filter in good condition Inspected burners, inducer, pressure switches and components Cleaned flame sensor, verified flame rectification circuit Ignitor reading proper ohms Inspected wiring, controls, fan speeds Confirmed proper propane pressures Measured temperature rise and static pressure Combustion and draft tests: Pass Thee humidifier feed piping is not tied into any valve. Left estimate to add humidifier feed vale to be able to test humidifier System operating well at this time.
Arrived to perform heat pump tune up. Conducted inspection of air filter. Customer stated she will replace it in 1-2 months. Return and supply temperatures are within normal ranges. Inspected outside unit, and found the unit is operating efficiently and within normal ranges. I checked the thermostat settings and went over the settings with homeowner. Settings were not changed. Customer has humidifier that saddle valve is not working. Provided estimate to service humidifier and replacement of saddle valve with a special humidifier 3/4 to 1/4 valve. Use outdoor control board to check refrigerant levels and electrical readings.
Installed new Goodman gas furnace (propane) and A/C coil. Built new return and supply. Tapped/caulked return and supply. Adapted flus and gas line. Installed new low pressure cut off switch on gas line. Adapted high volt and installed new outlet and switch. Ran new condensate line with ez trap and installed new condensate pump. Ran new vinyl tubing from condensate pump to sludge sink located in basement. Reused thermostat and wired in low volt with safeties. Ran new line set and adapted to equipment. Installed Goodman A/C on leveled pad. Installed new disconnect with surge protector and wired to outdoor unit. Cleaned up work area and tested out equipment. Come back in summer time to test out air conditioning.
