Diagnostic tool read no ignition. Bled pump. Lots of water and sludge for a while but eventually got to oil. Tested system afterwards. Also replaced the old purge tee caps with brass ones. I had broken one of the old plastic ones during tune up. This where water was trickling. Educated Carl about keeping tank full and how to bleed pump. And that he will need to bleed when the tank is filled with oil soon. Carl has oil ordered. No charge because I did not replace the one cap.
Completed oil boiler tune up. One thermostat. No zoning. There are (2) purge tees on return and (2)on supply. See photos. One of the caps of the purge tee crumbled off. Cleaned heat exchanger and flues. Chimney is clear Replaced RF1 oil filter, replaced strainer, replaced nozzle .85 60B Verified pump pressure is target 140 psi Bled oil lines and tested operations. Monitored boiler temperature and pressure. Measured piping delta. I noticed the 1 return was not getting as hot and may be air bound. Recommend replacing the purge tee there which includes bleeding air out that particular side of the baseboard. Smoke, draft and combustion tests: Pass The auto air vent on top of air scoop is failed. Left estimate for this. Left estimate to add female adapter and proper length of copper for relief valve. Boiler operating ok at this time. Performed tuneup on five year-old Goodman furnace, performed combustion analysis and checked all related ignition components including hot surf igniter cleaned flame censor and tested inducer motor. Checked blower capacitor, and blower amperage as well as changed filter and checked the temperature split of the unit. An issue was noticed that was related to the condensation produced by the gas furnace and through further inspection. It was noted that the collector box where the inducer motor mounts was leaking at the bottom, the bolts for the inducer motor rusted out and the inducer motor is amp higher than normal, customer customer was given an estimate to replace the parts related to the issue and they accepted.
