Completed Heat tune up for 5 ton Bosch inverter/ 80,000 BTU natural gas furnace. 16x20x4 filter Measured temperature rise and static pressure (in both heat pump and gas heat modes) Indoor and outdoor coil in good condition; Inspected wiring and controls including fan speed settings, equipment has surge protection. Monitored R410A refrigerant pressures. 130/345 EZ trap is clear, condensate pump in good condition. Combustion and draft tests: Pass Opened bypass humidifier damper and verified operations of humidifier. Set humidistat to 35%. Aprilaire 10 humidifier pad in good condition System operating well at this time.

Checked filter, checked air temp rise, turned on and tested humidifier, checked refrigerant pressures, tested heat pump operation. Ran furnace and performed combustion test. Unit is in normal operation.

Estimate

Performed QA on Trane Gas Furnace/Heat Pump system. Reviewed programming on system. Setup the Heat Pump and Gas Furnace lockout set points. Also increased cooling CFM air flow to 400 CFM per ton. Tested the wet switch and ez trap safeties. Poured water through the ez trap and through the furnace drains. Completed checklist form in system. Called David before leaving to let him know about the QA since they were not home during the visit. No additional follow up needed.

Performed precision a/c tune up on 2001 weather king air handler matched with 2009 Goodman r-22 a/c. Replaced 16x20x1 air filter. Checked all electrical conections and components. Tested outdoor capacitor. Found evaporator coil in attic is leaking r-22 refrigerant. Checked temperature split. Temperature split is 18 at this time. Also checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Head pressure on compressor was 262 very high. System is worn out. Recommended replacement of a/c and air handler. A/c is cooling at this time but do not know longevity of system.

Had an error for high pressure. Found compressor will run but not the fan motor. I checked the fan motor harness and reconnected. System came back on and both the compressor and the fan came on . I monitored the system over 30min , still running good . Please follow up with the customer on Monday to see how the system is operating. No charge for today. New system.

Removed old outdoor and gas furnace/coil, installed new drain pan, installed new gas furnace, coil and heat pump, installed new disconnect with surge protector, installed high volt with surge protector at furnace, connected supply and return metal kept 1’ filter. Flushed and adapted lineset, installed relay panel and connected low voltage, added eztrap and connected condensate, adapted flues and gas line, added supply sensor, installed tstat.

Upon arrival thermostat said bad blower motor. Went in attic and tested. Motor was getting voltage but not running. Collected all info for system. Motor is on back order for at least two weeks.
